Ann Wu, MD MPH

Ann Wu, MD MPH is a pediatrician and mother of two who spent 20 years at Harvard Medical School as a professor before founding GeneSprout. She received a BS in Biology from MIT, an MD from Harvard Medical School, and an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

As a board-certified pediatrician, she practiced at Boston Children’s Hospital (where she also completed residency) for 20 years and worked with families navigating unexplained diagnoses, rare diseases, and the long road to genetic answers. At Harvard Medical School, she led research initiatives in genomics that led to >200 publications. She has served on numerous national committees and served on the editorial board of JAMA Pediatrics.

Her research demonstrates that actionable genes should be screened for at birth and during childhood. GeneSprout is the direct expression of what she wishes every family could have: clear, actionable genetic insight — early, and without barriers.
